At Bridgend County Borough Council, we manage a diverse property portfolio, from schools to industrial estates and from care homes to market stalls. Adopting a Corporate Landlord approach, we bring together our property management, construction, development and maintenance teams, as well as all aspects of hard and soft facilities management under one service department.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with highly developed inter-personal skills and the ability to work on your own initiative to join our Building Surveying team in providing a wide-ranging service, across the Council’s property portfolio. The successful candidate will support the delivery of desired building project outcomes by ensuring contracts are managed on site professionally and effectively.
As our Contract Officer you will be responsible for ensuring project works are completed by Contractors in accordance with current regulations, procedures, CDM Regulations and Health and safety best practice.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees. An Enhanced with Childrens Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
