About the Role
The Adult Safeguarding & Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Team is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Social Worker and Best Interest Assessor to join the MASH (Multi‑agency Safeguarding Hub). The team is friendly, fast‑paced and supportive, working to achieve positive outcomes for citizens in our area.
Key Responsibilities
- Responding to Adult at Risk reports.
- Conducting DoLS assessments for Bridgend County Borough Council and Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
- Collaborating with partner agencies such as South Wales Police and the Local Health Board.
- Supporting individuals in line with the Social Services & Well Being (Wales) Act 2014 and the Wales Safeguarding Procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years post‑qualifying experience as a Social Worker.
- Ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh.
- Enhanced Children and Adults Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS).
- Valid driving licence.
