Job title: Personal Assistant
Location: Maesteg
Hours of work: 14.45 hours a week, social hours Mon-Fri hours to be agreed
Rate of pay: £13.75
A committed, caring and flexible Personal Assistant is required to support a lady with some domestic duties and Personal Care. The individual will need assistance with day-to-day things. I have mobility issues so the right candidate would also be required to take me to hospital appointments. Hours are to be worked flexibly as required and agreed in advance. This post is funded through the Direct Payments scheme and is intended to enable me to manage my support with the assistance of a PA, enabling the individual to live an independent lifestyle. Training can be provided as required and where available. Must have own transport and a full, clean driving licence and be DBS checked.
Responsibilities
- General help around the house.
- Support and encourage them with activities of interest.
- Ensure the individuals safety at all times during your working period.
- Support with personal care and toileting, showering, dry hair and dressing.
- Become a friend and engage in conversations.
- Local to the area would be beneficial
- Support and encourage with independent living skills.
- To carry out any other reasonable requests that the employer may make from time to time.
- Prompt to take medication.
