Join our team at Bridgend College in this deeply rewarding, hands‑on role helping young people change their lives. You will be delivering on Project SEARCH, a supported employment initiative designed to help young people with learning difficulties and disabilities secure meaningful, full‑time jobs. Instead of being based in a traditional classroom, you will work inside a local employer’s premises, teaching vital workplace skills and providing day‑to‑day coaching interns need to confidently step straight into employment.

Responsibilities

  • Teach workplace skills and support interns in a real workplace setting
  • Build relationships with learners, business mentors, families, and host employers
  • Oversee partnership with host employers
  • Provide day‑to‑day coaching to interns
  • Maintain records and prepare reports for the Project SEARCH programme

Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant qualification in ALN/SEN (or willingness to work toward one)
  • PGCE and Assessor Awards (or willingness to work toward them)
  • Proven experience supporting learning in a workplace setting with young people with additional learning needs
  • Strong relationship‑building skills
  • Good Welsh language skills (preferred but not mandatory)

Interview date: 3 August 2026 (second‑stage interview or assessment may be required)
