Join our team at Bridgend College in this deeply rewarding, hands‑on role helping young people change their lives. You will be delivering on Project SEARCH, a supported employment initiative designed to help young people with learning difficulties and disabilities secure meaningful, full‑time jobs. Instead of being based in a traditional classroom, you will work inside a local employer’s premises, teaching vital workplace skills and providing day‑to‑day coaching interns need to confidently step straight into employment.
Responsibilities
- Teach workplace skills and support interns in a real workplace setting
- Build relationships with learners, business mentors, families, and host employers
- Oversee partnership with host employers
- Provide day‑to‑day coaching to interns
- Maintain records and prepare reports for the Project SEARCH programme
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant qualification in ALN/SEN (or willingness to work toward one)
- PGCE and Assessor Awards (or willingness to work toward them)
- Proven experience supporting learning in a workplace setting with young people with additional learning needs
- Strong relationship‑building skills
- Good Welsh language skills (preferred but not mandatory)
