Contract: Fixed term, Part‑time (0.3 FTE / 11.1 hours per week) – Term‑time only, 39 weeks per year

Salary: £7,781 – £8,543 per annum (pro‑rated)

Salary grade: £30,165 – £33,119 per annum (pro‑rated)

Responsibilities

  • Design, deliver and assess high‑quality, industry‑relevant tasks.
  • Plan and run live events, both on‑site and at external venues, ensuring learners receive real‑world experience.
  • Co‑ordinate logistics, budgeting and risk assessments for all events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local and national employers to secure guest speakers, work placements and industry projects.
  • Provide hands‑on front‑of‑house and kitchen training, managing learner groups throughout practical activities.

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in front‑of‑house and kitchen operations.
  • Minimum Level 2 (or equivalent) Hospitality qualification.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ideally with experience supporting young people.
  • Level 3 qualification, prior instruction or assessment experience (e.g., Assessor's Award) and familiarity with digital tools (e.g., Google Suite) are advantageous.

  • Bridgend College requires that all new staff undergo an enhanced DBS disclosure for child and adult workforce and registration as a FE Learning Support Worker with the Education Workforce Council.
  • All applicants must provide evidence of identity and eligibility to work in the UK. The College does not sponsor visas.
