Job Purpose: To support the Additional Learning Needs Coordinator (ALNCo) and Deputy ALNCo by coordinating a person‑centred approach to Individual Development Plan (IDP) creation, update and review process for learners with additional learning needs, in full compliance with the Additional Learning Needs and Education Tribunal (Wales) Act 2018 (ALNET) and Additional Learning Needs Code (2021).

This role will work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including learners, parents/carers, college staff and external professionals, and organisations including schools and local authorities. This will contribute to a clear understanding of individual need in order to plan and provide effective support to help learners reach their full potential, whilst ensuring the college effectively meets its legal duties.

You will be able to work effectively with others and build strong relationships and have a sound working knowledge of relevant ALN legislation. Experience of working with young people and families who have ALN and disabilities and understanding their needs along with relevant ALN CPD/related qualifications are essential.
