With multiple facilities offering various bath sizes including one of the widest process baths in Europe, hot dip metal process services are available for everything from lighting columns to staircases, fencing products to bridges, structural sections to access support steelwork, industrial flooring to car parks, sculptural steel to seating, and railway gantries to motorway barriers.

We are looking for experienced Multi-Skilled Engineers to play a key role in the performance and success of this facility, setting new standards in British manufacturing and environmental best practice.

Role Overview

As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for both proactive and reactive maintenance activities to ensure the plant operates efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of the site's strategic plan.
  • Use the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage planned maintenance and stock control.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM), inspections, servicing, and repairs.
  • Respond to breakdowns and carry out reactive maintenance as needed.
  • Ensure accurate recording of maintenance activities and data.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through the site's management system to enhance plant performance.

What's Required:

  • Understanding of current Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong team player with a flexible and problem-solving mindset.
  • Proven ability to fault-find, repair, and implement solutions.
  • Proficient in using IT systems and maintenance software.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience in a preventative maintenance environment.
  • Background in maintaining large engineering plant and equipment, including:
  • Electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Fault diagnosis and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Rewiring and modifying electrical circuits.
  • Siemens PLC fault finding.
  • Inverter/drive configuration and maintenance.
  • Fluid power system diagnosis and repair.
  • Conveyor system maintenance.
  • Basic fabrication skills.
  • Condition monitoring of plant and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Electrical Maintenance.
  • Level 3 Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Mechanical Maintenance.
  • Level 3 Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
