A growing Design & Build Building Services Consultancy in Wilmslow is seeking an experienced M&E Project Manager to deliver a range of mechanical and electrical projects across the public sector, commercial properties, and residential buildings. Established in 2018, the business is expanding rapidly and specialises in retrofit, refurbishment, and decarbonisation projects that support the UK's Net Zero Carbon targets.
The Role
- Manage multiple M&E projects valued between £25,000 and £1m
- Oversee projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover
- Manage programmes, budgets, procurement, contractors, and subcontractors
- Coordinate design, construction, commissioning, and project delivery activities
- Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, CDM, and health & safety requirements
- Produce project reports, manage risks, and maintain quality standards
- Work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams
Project Types
- Public sector buildings including schools, leisure centres, and social housing
- Commercial offices, industrial units, retail, and mixed-use developments
- Residential and multi-residential properties
Works include heating systems, heat pumps, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical upgrades, solar PV, battery storage, BMS controls, and wider building decarbonisation measures.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering M&E building services projects
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience managing projects within live or occupied environments
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, CDM, and H&S legislation
- Commercial awareness including cost control and contract administration
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Building Services or M&E contracting background
- Design & Build experience
- Knowledge of low-carbon and renewable technologies
- APM, PRINCE2 or PMP qualifications
Package
- £60,000-£65,000 basic salary (DOE)
- Hybrid working (2 days from home)
