Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Car Allowance + Package
Our client is a well-established construction contractor delivering high-quality residential developments across the North West. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor with experience in new build housing to play a key role in the successful delivery of multiple projects.
The Role
Reporting into the Commercial Team, you will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of projects from procurement through to final account, ensuring schemes are delivered profitably and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of valuations, cost reporting, CVRs and final accounts
- Procurement and commercial management of subcontractors
- Assessment and management of variations, compensation events and claims
- Contract administration and commercial reporting
- Cost control, risk management and profitability analysis
- Liaison with clients, consultants and supply chain partners
- Supporting project teams with commercial guidance and best practice
- Assisting with tender pricing and estimating activities when required
Requirements
- Previous Quantity Surveying experience within new build housing
- Strong understanding of commercial management and cost control
- Knowledge of construction contracts and contract administration
- Experience managing subcontract accounts through to final settlement
- Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
