The Role
The client are seeking Quantity Surveyors to join their commercial team on a permanent basis, operating from their Wilmslow head office. The role will involve full commercial responsibility across multiple healthcare projects, from pre-construction through to final account.
You will work closely with project, design, and delivery teams to ensure commercial performance is managed effectively while maintaining the highest standards required within healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Full commercial management of healthcare construction projects
- Preparation and control of project budgets and cost plans
- Procurement of subcontractors and supply chain packages
- Valuation of works and management of applications for payment
- Change control, variations, and compensation events
- Cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Subcontractor account management and final accounts
- Support in contract administration (JCT / NEC forms)
- Liaison with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
- Ensuring commercial compliance with healthcare and regulatory standards
About You
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction
- Background in healthcare, pharmaceutical, cleanroom, or similarly regulated environments advantageous but not essential
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
- Experience managing subcontractor packages and final accounts
- Confident communicator with a collaborative working style
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (preferred)
