Quantity Surveyor – Heritage Project Location: Stockport Role: Quantity Surveyor – Heritage & Listed Buildings Overview Our client are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management of a significant heritage and listed building project in Stockport. The ideal candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with a passion for historic buildings and conservation. Key Responsibilities * Manage the financial and contractual aspects of a high-profile heritage project. * Prepare and manage budgets, cost plans, valuations, and final accounts. * Administer contracts in line with JCT and NEC requirements. * Assess and manage subcontractor packages, variations, and payments. * Provide accurate cost reporting and forecasting to ensure project profitability. * Work closely with the Site Manager, client, and conservation specialists to balance cost efficiency with the quality demands of conservation work. * Ensure compliance with listed building consents, funding conditions, and heritage standards. Skills & Experience * Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the building sector, ideally with exposure to heritage or conservation schemes. * Strong understanding of JCT/NEC contracts and procurement. * Excellent commercial awareness with proven ability to deliver projects within budget. * Strong negotiation and communication skills. * A genuine interest in heritage, traditional materials, and conservation craftsmanship
