An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing and well-established business operating across civils, demolition, and haulage. Following the departure of a key senior figure, the business is now looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Manager to take ownership of project delivery and play a key role in the continued growth of the business. This is a unique opportunity offering autonomy, flexibility, and the chance to shape and develop operational processes within a forward-thinking contractor.
This is an operationally focused position, centred around managing multiple projects, overseeing site teams, and ensuring successful delivery from pre-construction through to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Overseeing the delivery of multiple civils, demolition, and enabling works projects
- Managing site teams including Site Managers, Supervisors, and subcontractors
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Working closely with the commercial team on cost control, variations, and reporting
- Supporting tendering and pre-construction planning where required
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Identifying and managing project risks and opportunities
- Driving programme performance and operational efficiency
- Supporting business growth through client engagement and repeat work
- Proven experience as a Senior QS, Project Manager, or Senior Site Manager within: Civil Engineering, Demolition, Groundworks / Infrastructure
- Strong operational leadership and project delivery experience
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of cost control
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
- Confident in client-facing environments
- Proactive, organised, and capable of hitting the ground running
- Full UK Driving Licence
