Our client is a growing mechanical building services contractor delivering high-quality projects across the commercial, healthcare, education, industrial and residential sectors throughout the Midlands and the UK. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Mechanical Estimator to strengthen our expanding pre-construction team.
The Role
Working alongside our Senior Estimators and Commercial Team, you will be responsible for preparing competitive and accurate tenders for a wide range of mechanical building services projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator looking to develop their career within a successful and forward-thinking contractor.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical building services projects.
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
- Carry out material take-offs and prepare pricing schedules.
- Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Assist with value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
- Support tender submissions and project handovers.
- Liaise with clients, consultants and the wider project team throughout the estimating process.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and the supply chain.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the Building Services.
- Good knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, heating and other related systems.
