Our client is a well-established and growing main contractor delivering projects across a range of sectors throughout the North West. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Document Controller to support the successful delivery of multiple construction projects from their Warrington office.
This is a key role responsible for managing project information, maintaining document control systems and ensuring accurate, compliant information flow throughout the project lifecycle.
The Role
Working closely with Project Managers, Design Managers, consultants and subcontractors, you will oversee the administration of project documentation within the Common Data Environment (CDE), ensuring all information is current, controlled and accessible.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project documentation within the Common Data Environment (CDE)
- Set up workflows, user permissions and document controls
- Carry out quality checks on project information and drawings
- Maintain drawing registers, revision histories and document logs
- Produce regular reports on outstanding information and RFIs
- Support project teams with technical submissions and project close-out documentation
- Ensure site drawings and hard-copy documentation remain up to date
- Upload and manage health & safety documentation, inspections and registers
- Support internal and external audits
- Provide training and support to project teams using document control systems
Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience as a Document Controller within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of document management systems and project workflows
- Experience using Viewpoint / 4Projects
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
- Experience using Fieldview
- Knowledge of construction design and technical documentation processes
