We are seeking an experienced M&E Project Manager with a strong mechanical and HVAC background to deliver projects nationally across a diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial schemes. The role will suit a handsāon Project Manager who is comfortable taking full ownership of projects from preāconstruction through to final handover.
You will be responsible for managing programme, cost, quality, safety, and client relationships while coordinating internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Managing M&E projects from award through to completion and handover
- Full responsibility for mechanical and HVAC packages, including design coordination, procurement, and installation
- Producing and managing project programmes, budgets, and cash flow
- Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers nationwide
- Overseeing commissioning, testing, and snagging processes
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and consultants
- Attending progress meetings and producing detailed project reports
- Managing variations, change control, and commercial awareness alongside commercial teams
- Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering M&E / HVAC projects
- Strong mechanical background (HVAC, pipework, plant rooms, ductwork, etc.)
- Experience managing projects on a national or multi-site basis
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and subcontractors
- Strong understanding of building services coordination and sequencing
- Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
- Mechanical Engineering qualification or trade background
- SMSTS / SSSTS
- CSCS (Manager or Professionally Qualified)
- First Aid (preferred but not essential)
- Competitive salary or day rate (dependent on experience)
