My Client is a growing Main Contractor whose main discipline is new build Social Housing. They are looking to expand the team due to the number of projects won. The role will be predominately dealing with new build projects from £10m to £20m.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Financial control over assigned contracts.
- Administer conditions of contract and manage disputes utilising contract functions where required.
- Manage and deliver procurement of key sub-contractors & suppliers.
- Submission of variations, valuations, and final accounts.
- Monitor and sign off subcontractor accounts.
- Participate in tendering processes.
- Maintain accurate and organised documentation in relation to aspects of involvement.
- Report variations, issues, and progress against targets.
- Post project cost analysis, develop and implement lessons learnt into future ventures.
- Consider quality, health & safety, and environmental impact in all decisions.
- Maintain accurate filing.
- Ensure meeting documents are sent prior to meetings and minutes are actioned.
- Producing Directors reports on a monthly basis for the board.
- Conduct post project cost analysis.
- Supply chain engagement and investment in new subcontractors.
Experience:
- Experience of social housing (new build).
- Experienced QS and driven to work in a busy work environment.
- Relevant HNC, Diploma, degree or equivalent in Construction or related discipline.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
- High level of literacy and attention to detail.
- The ability to work under pressure to meet set budgets and deadlines.
- The ability to read and understand architectural and mechanical/electrical drawings and specifications.
- The ability to hold meetings with the Client and design team.
- Self-motivation and drive.
Salary: £50k to £60k + Car Allowance + Pension + Bonus + Package
