Freelance Façade Project Manager Location: Durham Start Date: October 25 Duration: 6 months Project: High-Rise Residential Development We are seeking an experienced Façade Project Manager to support our growing facades division on a landmark high-rise residential scheme in Durham. This six-month freelance contract offers the chance to play a pivotal role in delivering a complex façade package alongside associated internal works. You will be responsible for ensuring the façade package is delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance, while coordinating subcontractors and collaborating closely with the client’s project team. Key Responsibilities * Oversee the full façade package and selected internal works, including: * Render systems (K Rend) * Timber cladding * Fire stopping works * Steel balcony restoration * Internal drylining replacement, targeted fire stopping, and remedial works * Manage and coordinate subcontractors to ensure work is delivered on time and to budget. * Monitor quality standards and compliance with both client and regulatory requirements. * Enforce health & safety standards across site activities. * Provide accurate progress updates, resolve technical/site issues, and maintain clear reporting. * Collaborate with procurement and client project teams to ensure seamless integration of façade and internal works. Requirements * Proven experience managing façade packages on high-rise residential projects (ideally in live environments). * Strong technical knowledge of render, cladding, and fire stopping systems. * Demonstrable ability to lead subcontractors and drive programme delivery. * Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. * Solid understanding of health & safety practices. * Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications (essential)
