An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and growing engineering services team in the North West. This role will focus on the commercial and contractual management of projects, ensuring financial performance is maximised while maintaining strong client and supplier relationships.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in overseeing the financial and contractual aspects of multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered efficiently and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all health & safety, quality standards, and company procedures are consistently followed
- Support the delivery of projects in line with internal commercial and operational processes
- Accurately forecast project cash flow and optimise financial performance
- Assess and manage variations, including instructions from clients, consultants, and subcontractors
- Monitor project costs and highlight any risks to profitability to senior management
- Work closely with project teams to maximise value and control costs
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
- Contribute to improving processes and securing repeat business opportunities
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent experience)
- Strong commercial awareness with a solid understanding of contract management
- Experience with management accounts and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
- Accurate and detail-oriented in all aspects of work
