About the role:

As a Rehabilitation Assistant, you’ll play an important role in supporting our residents to maintain their independence, confidence and quality of life. You’ll provide compassionate, person-centred care while encouraging residents to do as much as they can for themselves and supporting them to stay active and engaged within our home. Your warm, patient and caring approach will help you build genuine relationships with our residents. You’ll get to know their individual personalities, routines, interests, likes and dislikes, allowing you to provide care that is truly tailored to each person.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Providing personal care and day-to-day support, including assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, using the bathroom and moving around safely.
  • Spending meaningful time with residents, encouraging conversation, activities and social interaction so they can enjoy life within our home.
  • Being attentive to each resident’s physical and emotional wellbeing and recognising any changes in their needs or behaviour.
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with residents, their families and colleagues.
  • Helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment where residents feel comfortable and at home.
  • Treating every resident with dignity, care and compassion at all times.
