An entry to mid-level role supporting a senior public affairs team on parliamentary monitoring, stakeholder engagement and policy briefings for clients operating in regulated sectors. Bridgehead's public affairs practice works with organisations seeking to influence policy, build relationships with MPs and peers, and navigate the legislative environment. We are looking for an Executive to join the team: someone with a genuine interest in politics and public policy, strong written and research skills, and the ambition to develop into a senior public affairs practitioner.

You will support senior consultants and partners on a range of clients, handling parliamentary monitoring, stakeholder mapping, briefings and event coordination.

Key responsibilities
  • Monitor parliamentary activity: debates, EDMs, committee inquiries, written questions, and brief clients on relevant developments
  • Maintain and update stakeholder databases covering MPs, peers, ministers, officials and advisors
  • Draft parliamentary briefings, position papers and stakeholder communications
  • Coordinate meetings between clients and parliamentary and government stakeholders
  • Support the preparation of consultation responses and evidence submissions
  • Research policy landscape, committee schedules and party positions for client briefings
Requirements
  • Genuine interest in UK politics, Parliament and public policy
  • Strong written communication skills, able to summarise complex issues clearly
  • Ability to research quickly and accurately under deadline pressure
  • Organised and reliable with strong attention to detail
  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience
Desirable but not required
  • Experience in a parliamentary, public affairs or policy environment (placement, internship or similar)
  • Familiarity with parliamentary monitoring tools such as Dods, Vuelio or Hansard
  • Interest in health, care, education or corporate governance policy

Type: Full-time

Location: London, EC4

Benefits
  • Competitive salary reviewed annually against performance
  • Hybrid working: office in Temple, EC4, with flexibility
  • Direct exposure to senior public affairs work from day one
  • Expenses for parliamentary events and external training

A small team. Serious work. Shaping influence in a concentrated environment where every voice counts. Senior-led from day one. You will work directly alongside partners with deep sector expertise, not spend years waiting for the work to reach you.

Consequential briefs: Our clients operate where reputation matters most: the NHS, Parliament, regulated care, corporate governance. The work has weight.

No account teams: We do not run layers of account management. You will own relationships, produce the work and see it land.

Growth that is earned: Progression is tied to impact, not tenure. If your work is driving results, we will reflect that quickly. We keep the team deliberately small so that every person is a senior contributor. You will not be lost in headcount.
