A mid-level role for an experienced communications professional ready to run accounts for healthcare providers, care operators and health-tech companies. We are looking for a PR Consultant to join our healthcare and social care practice. You will manage a portfolio of accounts independently, from care home groups and NHS bodies to health-tech scale-ups and professional bodies. This is a writing-led role: the ability to generate strong press coverage, place thought-leadership commentary and handle stakeholder communications is essential. You will have some experience in a PR or communications role and a genuine interest in health and care policy.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day account management for a portfolio of healthcare and care clients
  • Generate consistent national and trade press coverage across print, broadcast and digital
  • Develop and place thought-leadership commentary with key journalists and editors
  • Write press releases, briefing documents, speeches and op-eds to a high standard
  • Monitor the health and care policy environment and brief clients on relevant developments
  • Support new business pitches and contribute to agency growth

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in PR, communications or journalism
  • Demonstrable track record of securing media coverage at national or trade level
  • Strong writing skills across multiple formats: press releases, editorial, commentary
  • Ability to manage multiple client relationships and deadlines simultaneously
  • Confidence briefing and presenting to clients at director level

Desirable but not required

  • Experience working in health, care or a regulated sector
  • Existing press contacts in health trade and/or national media
