For over 40 years, Bridgehead has been sourcing and supporting a family of small-scale, sustainable farmers around the world. Today, we have 17 locations across Ottawa and employ over 300 team members. Bridgehead is recognized and respected as a leader in bringing approachable, responsibly sourced, high scoring coffee to Canadians.
We were the first to bring Fairtrade coffee to Ottawa coffeehouses and continue to be a place where you can enjoy an exceptional cup of coffee, directly sourced from global producers. Locally, Bridgehead supports hundreds of neighborhood organizations every year, including in-kind donations of coffee, tea, gift baskets and gift cards.

Requirements:
  • Experience in Customer Service is considered an asset
  • Established professional, empathetic, and engaged customer service model
  • Team player
  • Comfortable with multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks
  • Verified record of punctuality/attendance and time management
Physical Requirements:
  • Physically fit to stand, walk, bend, twist and lift up to 30 kg, and to work at counter height for up to an 8-hour shift
  • Constant computer, POS, and bar equipment use at counter height
  • Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing and/or rotation of the wrist and spine
  • Efficient oral communication, receiving, interpreting, and providing detailed information to customers and employees
  • Clarity of vision at near and/or far distance
  • Occasionally be able to accurately distinguish and describe flavors and odours.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions delivered both orally and in written format – and request clarification if necessary
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Positive attitude with a consistent display of professionalism

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous coffeehouse or customer service experience
  • Safe food handling certificate
