This is a full-time, Deputy Manager role located in our homes in Burton Upon Trent and Coalville. The Deputy Manager will oversee and support the daily operations of the residential care home, ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of the children and young people in our care. Responsibilities include managing staff, implementing personalised care plans, adhering to safeguarding protocols, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. The Deputy Manager will also play a key role in promoting a positive and inclusive environment, fostering collaboration, and serving as a role model for both residents and staff.

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership, team management, and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in safeguarding practices and knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Experience in child care, youth work, or social work, with a focus on personalised care and support
  • Compassionate communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and time management abilities
  • Commitment to inclusivity, individual growth, and child welfare
  • Relevant qualifications in social care, child development, or related field (e.g., Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent)
  • Ability to work on-site in a full-time capacity
