This is a great opportunity to become a valued member of our Personal Lines Insurance team based in Newcastle - Under - Lyme. The main requirement for the role is to provide excellent levels of service to both new and existing customers, utilising strong sales and negotiation skills to ensure we maximise new business opportunities.

The day to day:

  • Deliver excellent customer service to all customers
  • Uphold the company's mission statement and values
  • Responsible for the achievement of individual income target
  • The achievement of new business case count and retention targets
  • Maximising sales opportunities by proactively selling and securing additional business
  • Raising underwriting concerns and rating risks appropriately
  • Accurately complete administrative tasks such as post, diary as well as account and insurer queries
  • Securing a consistent pass rate on all call observations
  • Awareness of complaint handling - Being able to resolve minor customer complaints and being fully aware of the company complaints process
  • Liaise and build relationships with insurers and customers - both internally and externally
  • General administration work: Prioritise all client communication (via phone, email and in-person) to ensure the customer receives a high level of customer service

About you:

The successful applicants should have at least 12 months sales or customer service experience. Insurance experience is desirable, but this is not essential and product training will be provided. You'll be a good communicator and have strong numerical and verbal skills.

A negotiable basic salary coupled with a bonus structure that will add significantly to this, a benefits package that includes all the normal pieces (Pension, Holidays, DIS, Share Save) and access to a wider flexible benefits package once you've completed your probation. An adult working environment on a Monday to Friday basis with no shifts. Full support for ongoing development, with regular training and development available and funding available for professional qualifications.
