Brown & Brown Europe is seeking a Test Analyst with insurance sector experience to support the delivery of high-quality technology solutions across our London-based Managing General Agency businesses. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of change initiatives, collaborating with business users, developers, and project teams to ensure solutions are robust, reliable, and aligned to business requirements. You will be a key advocate for quality, helping to drive effective testing practices and contributing to the successful delivery of strategic technology programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new developments, enhancements, and system changes.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing to ensure solutions meet business and technical requirements.
- Identify, log, and manage defects through to resolution, working closely with developers and third-party suppliers.
- Validate insurance products, underwriting functionality, policy administration processes, and management reporting outputs.
- Support business users throughout testing cycles, including UAT planning, execution, and issue resolution.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy across underwriting, policy administration, and reporting platforms.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, define testing approaches, and promote quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including test automation, process enhancement, and testing best practices.
- Produce clear test documentation, progress reporting, and quality metrics.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, insurance technologies, and emerging testing methodologies.
About you:
- Experience as a Test Analyst, QA Analyst, or Software Tester, ideally within the insurance sector.
- Knowledge of the London Market and/or Lloyd's insurance environment.
- Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and regression testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience managing defects through their lifecycle and working with testing tools.
- Good data analysis skills, including experience working with SQL and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- Experience testing underwriting, policy administration, claims, or management information systems.
- Knowledge of Lloyd's reporting processes and regulatory requirements.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Exposure to test automation tools and frameworks.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, TestRail, or similar testing tools.
- Understanding of automated regression testing and modern testing practices.
Qualifications
- ISTQB Foundation Certification or equivalent testing qualification (desirable).
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience in a technology, business, or related discipline (desirable).
