As part of our ongoing journey of growth and building on our approach as a Forever company, we are looking to appoint an Internal Audit Manager to look after our Finance function.
You will be working with some fantastic teammates at all levels to ensure compliance and efficiency within our teams. This role has significant potential for development as we continue our growth across the Insurance market in the United Kingdom and Europe.
We are looking for a teammate with prior experience in the Insurance Broking / MGA / Insurer world or proven experience within practice assisting Insurance businesses.
On a day-to-day basis:
- Participate in the operations of the Financial Operations Audit Team, including various sections of the audit programmes for Integrated, Financial, Cash and Financial Team Leader reviews.
- Budget Monitoring and Bi-Weekly Review of Each Region's Expenses.
- Participate in Annual Risk Assessment Meetings and all Financial Operations Meetings.
- Work closely with relevant stakeholders across the business including Tech Solutions, Retail, Risk & Compliance, Operations, MGA, Digital.
- Be a point of contact for Profit Centres, ROLs, ROSs, and Team Members for audit-related questions.
- Keep informed of industry and profession developments through online seminars and meetings.
- Review and revamp Audit, IT, ROL/ROS, Cash and other programmes as changes occur.
- Prepare and review the Draft Report and final Report before issuance to relevant parties.
- Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned.
About you:
You will have solid exposure to Internal Audit within the Insurance Industry and be looking for the next step in your career where you can drive a function forwards. You will be a qualified accountant ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) and, if not already qualified within the Audit arena, be happy to undertake further professional development.
A well-developed skill set that includes high-level Communication (Written, Verbal, Video), Analytical, Stakeholder Management, Influencing and Problem Solving skills, coupled with the ability to use related Finance and IT packages.
Strong exposure to SOX Audits, GAAP (including US GAAP), working knowledge of IFRS and FCA / Financial Legislation / Rules is required. You should be comfortable travelling to various business locations outside of London. Exposure to Auditing of US businesses and Workday Finance is desirable but not essential.
