Supporting over 450 clients across southern England, including schools, offices, medical centres, and leisure facilities, they have built a strong reputation for reliability, value, and outstanding customer service, while maintaining a personal, client-focused approach.
Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing, this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Business Development Manager to play a key role in driving continued growth. You will be responsible for developing a robust pipeline, converting opportunities, and building long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:- Proactively identify and target new business opportunities (approx. 2 days per week)
- Book and attend qualified appointments within defined geographic areas
- Manage and convert a high volume of inbound leads
- Conduct site visits, surveys, and prepare tailored service proposals
- Negotiate contracts and handle objections effectively
- Build and manage client relationships from initial contact through to close
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities
- Collaborate with operations to ensure seamless onboarding of new contracts
- Experienced Business Development Manager, ideally within cleaning or FM
- Proven track record in direct sales and closing high-value contracts (£1.5m+ annually)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Experience in education or healthcare sectors advantageous
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
- Flexible working (predominantly remote with minimal office attendance)
- Company vehicle or mileage allowance

- Competitive salary with uncapped commission (OTE £75K+)
