We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected cleaning and support services provider with over 20 years’ experience delivering tailored solutions across the Southeast. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their growing commercial team. This is a field-based role, responsible for driving new business growth and securing profitable cleaning contracts across multiple sectors, including commercial, healthcare, education, hospitality, retail, manufacturing, and distribution.

You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities, managing the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to contract award. Supported by telesales, marketing, and operational teams, you will play a key role in expanding the company’s client portfolio. Target contract value is £150k plus.

Key Duties:

  • Winning new commercial cleaning contracts
  • Attending client meetings, site surveys, and delivering professional presentations
  • Managing the full sales lifecycle from lead generation to closing
  • Building strong relationships with senior decision-makers
  • Inputting in the delivery of high-quality proposals and tenders
  • Maintaining accurate CRM data, forecasts, and pipeline management
  • Working closely with internal teams to maximise conversion and service delivery alignment

The Candidate:

Our client is seeking a high-calibre sales professional with:

  • Proven success in B2B new business sales
  • Experience selling contracted services (cleaning, FM, security, catering, waste, or similar)
  • Confidence in managing the entire sales process
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Professional presence and excellent communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
