Job Summary

We are seeking two skilled and detail‑oriented MIG Welders to join our Erith manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components with precision and efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in various welding techniques to contribute to high‑quality projects in a dynamic environment.

Duties

  • Perform MIG welding and Full Penetration Butt welding techniques to join metal plates according to technical specifications.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively to complete fabrication tasks.
  • Cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other materials to specified dimensions.
  • Conduct basic measurements and calculations to ensure accuracy in fabrication and assembly processes.
  • Assist in the fabrication of components for various projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality control procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues during welding or assembly processes.
  • Follow detailed technical drawings and schematics to produce precise components.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in MIG welding, with a strong understanding of Full Penetration Butt welding techniques.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
  • Knowledge of fabrication processes involving sheet metal and mechanical assembly.
  • Good understanding of mechanical principles and basic maths for measurements and calculations.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience working with sheet metal, assembly tasks, or similar roles is desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of safety protocols related to welding and fabrication work.

Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm, Weekends also available.

Duration: Ongoing.

Starting Tuesday 2nd December 2025.

Paying £30 per hour.
