As they continue to grow and evolve their commercial offering, they are seeking a Bid Manager to lead the end-to-end bid process and support strategic business development. This role is pivotal in shaping their approach to winning new contracts and retaining existing clients.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial, you will take full ownership of the bid lifecycle—from opportunity identification through to submission—ensuring compelling, compliant, and high-impact proposals are delivered on time. This is a great opportunity for a senior bid professional looking to take strategic ownership of a function and influence business growth directly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coordinate, and manage all stages of the bid process for PQQs, ITTs, and RFPs
  • Define and implement bid strategies that align with commercial goals and market positioning
  • Facilitate win strategy development and coordinate inputs across operational and commercial teams
  • Produce and review high-quality written responses tailored to client needs
  • Maintain a library of reusable content, case studies, and boilerplate material
  • Ensure all submissions are accurate, persuasive, and professionally presented
  • Manage the bid pipeline, timelines, and submission schedules
  • Lead bid/no-bid discussions with senior stakeholders
  • Review post-submission feedback and continuously improve processes and content
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, compliance, finance, and marketing teams
  • Provide editorial and strategic support to junior writers or internal contributors
  • Promote bid best practices and foster a culture of quality and responsiveness
  • Support broader sales efforts with capability documents, website content, and branded collateral
  • Ensure all external materials reflect the company's tone, values, and quality standards

About You

  • Significant experience managing end-to-end bids in a commercial, FM, or service-based environment
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to develop persuasive, client-focused responses
  • Proficiency in bid tools such as Adobe InDesign, Canva, or MS Office Suite
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to understand and communicate complex service offerings
  • Excellent planning and project management skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams under tight deadlines
