We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing facilities management provider for an experienced Cleaning Operations Manager to join their senior leadership team. This is a key operational role, reporting directly to the Operations Director, with responsibility for the performance and development of a team of five Account Managers and overall service delivery across a varied portfolio of clients.
You will take ownership of operational performance, client satisfaction, and team leadership across multiple contracts within sectors including education, local authority, healthcare, automotive, and commercial office environments. This is a strategic and hands-on position requiring strong commercial awareness and the ability to drive continuous improvement. Offers genuine scope to progress influence on the business, moving to Director level status.
Key Responsibilities:- Leading and developing a team of Account Managers
- Ensuring high standards of service delivery across all client sites
- Managing client relationships and acting as a senior escalation point
- Monitoring KPIs and implementing performance improvements
- Supporting recruitment, training, and ongoing development of teams
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety and industry regulations
- Contributing to wider operational and strategic objectives
- Proven experience in a senior operational role within a contract cleaning business (essential)
- Experience managing multi-site contracts and teams
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- A structured, proactive, and commercially aware approach
- The ability to travel and commute to Bedford
- Residence within the Home Counties (preferred)
