Bridge Recruitment is helping one of our established clients recruit for an experienced Supply Chain Supervisor to join their ever-expanding team. Within this role you will be managing 8/10 people with this number still expanding.
Responsibilities of the Supply Chain Supervisor:
- Goods In (Inbound Logistics): Oversee the receipt and inspection of incoming goods, verify shipments against purchase orders and report discrepancies, ensure goods are correctly labelled, stored, and logged in the warehouse system, oversee stock rotation to prevent damage or obsolescence.
- Goods Out (Outbound Logistics): Manage order processing and ensure timely dispatch of goods, coordinate with transport teams to schedule deliveries, ensure goods are packed correctly and meet quality standards, oversee the accuracy of shipping documentation and tracking.
- Inventory & Warehouse Management: Maintain accurate stock records and conduct regular inventory audits, optimize warehouse space and storage solutions, implement stock control procedures to minimize losses, work closely with suppliers, transport providers, and internal teams.
- Team Leadership & Compliance: Oversee warehouse staff and allocate daily tasks, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, train and mentor staff on warehouse procedures and best practices, monitor performance and implement improvements for efficiency.
Requirements of the Supply Chain Supervisor:
- Proven experience in warehouse or logistics management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Understanding of stock control and inventory management.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Forklift license (preferred but not always required).
