Production Team Leader Location: Crayford Salary: GBP34,000 – GBP35,000 per year Hours: Monday – Thursday, 7am – 4pm. Fridays, 7am – 11.15am. Job type: Full-time, permanent Bridge Recruitment is helping one of our established clients recruit for an experienced Production Team Leader to join their ever-expanding team. Responsibilities of the Production Team Leader: · Work to ensure people and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements while achieving quality and safety standards · Ensure that team members follow defined manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirements · Ensure all records are completed appropriately. · Ensure that non-conforming material is clearly identified and segregated · Ensure that quality concerns are reported to the appropriate personal and that proper process controls are followed in the event of a quality issue raised. · Ensure the team are aware of day-to-day targets and responsibilities · Manage work order closures (scanning where applicable) · Manage picking to your area – ensure prior day line loading is adhered to by the pickers/stores. · Identify training and development needs to management. · Set clear team goals and KPIs · Carry out incident, accident and non-conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closure · Provide product expertise within team, and respond to operator queries · Interface with Production Scheduling to determine schedules for shift production · Liaise and communicate with other departments and ensure an effective interface is maintained · Feedback to the Management team to share ideas and improve operations, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimise results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements and delivery in line with Company and Customer requirements · Provide technical expertise to the team Requirements of the Production Team Leader: · At least 3 years\’ experience in leading a production team. · Experience of assisting and developing (multi-skilled) people. · Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation · Knowledge of environmental ISO14001 · Knowledge of Quality standard ISO9001 · Understanding of production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap, and re-work · Is self-aware, resilient, assertive, and open to change · Ability to work as part of a team and own initiative · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Excellent organisation skills If you feel like you meet the above criteria for the Production Team Leader, then please apply now
