Bridge Recruitment is helping one of our established clients recruit for an experienced Goods In/Goods Out Clerk to join their ever-expanding team.

Responsibilities of the Goods In/Goods Out Clerk:

  • Receiving Goods - Unload deliveries safely from trucks or vans, check incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, verify delivery notes against purchase orders.
  • Stock Control & Storage - Label and store goods in designated areas, keep track of inventory and update stock records, ensure proper rotation of stock (FIFO/LIFO methods).
  • Quality & Safety Compliance - Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies to the supplier, follow health and safety regulations when handling stock, operating forklifts, pallet trucks, or other machinery safely (if trained).
  • Record Keeping & Communication - Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to log stock movements, liaise with suppliers, drivers, and internal teams, assist with stock audits and inventory counts.
  • General Warehouse Duties - Maintain a clean and organized workspace, assist with packing, loading, and dispatching goods when required, follow company policies and procedures.

Requirements of the Goods In/Goods Out Clerk:

  • At least a minimum of 3 years' experience
  • Previous goods in/goods out experience.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Understanding of health & safety.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Forklift licence desirable.
