Structural Engineer
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join a growing team, working on a variety of structural projects across the South East.
The successful candidate will be involved in the design and delivery of structural engineering solutions and will be expected to travel to project sites across Sussex, Kent, London and Surrey when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyse structural solutions for a range of projects.
- Produce structural calculations and technical reports.
- Ensure designs comply with current Building Regulations and relevant British Standards/Eurocodes.
- Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and other design professionals.
- Attend site visits and project meetings across the South East.
- Support projects from concept through to completion.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of five years' structural engineering experience.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or actively working towards Chartership.
- Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and structural design standards.
- Experience designing steel and timber structures.
- Experience using Tekla Structural Designer would be advantageous.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites across Sussex, Kent, London and Surrey.
- Salary & Benefits
- £50,000-£55,000, depending on experience.
- Up to £60,000 for Chartered Engineers.
