Bridge Recruitment is helping one of our established clients recruit for an experienced Production Team Leader to join their ever-expanding team. You will be reporting to the Production Manager.
Responsibilities of the Production Team Leader:
- Work to ensure people and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements while achieving quality and safety standards.
- Ensure that team members follow defined manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirements.
- Ensure equipment is within calibration date and all systems are functioning correctly.
- Ensure all records are completed appropriately.
- Ensure that quality concerns are reported to the appropriate personnel and that proper process controls are followed in the event of a quality issue raised.
- Manage work order closures (scanning where applicable).
- Manage picking to your area - ensure prior day line loading is adhered to by the pickers/stores.
- Identify training and development needs to management.
- Monitor team performance and report to your manager/direct report.
- Responsible for training of operators for products and processes within your team.
- Carry out incident, accident and non-conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closure.
- Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviours expected of them.
- Communicate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) from the strategic annual plan so that each employee is aware of expectations and deliverables.
- Work positively with support functions to fully define the processes/procedures/controls relevant to team activities.
- Provide support and input to continuous improvement activities within the team.
- Feedback to the Management team to share ideas and improve operations, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimise results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements and delivery in line with Company and Customer requirements.
- Provide technical expertise to the team.
Requirements of the Production Team Leader:
- At least 3 years experience in leading a production team.
- Experience of assisting and developing (multi-skilled) people.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
- Knowledge of environmental ISO14001.
- Knowledge of Quality standard ISO9001.
- Ability to work as part of a team and your own initiative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Excellent problem solver.
- Ability to work under pressure.
