Bridge Recruitment is helping one of our established clients recruit for an experienced Gas Engineer to join their ever-expanding team. You will be dealing with breakdowns, servicing, repairs and installations within properties.
Responsibilities of the Gas Engineer:
- Carry out service visits, covering breakdowns, annual services and technical inspections on behalf of our client to the highest standards of safety and quality, complying with relevant legislation and codes of practice with the aim of achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
- Identify and satisfy customers' requirements by positively promoting our client and its products, thereby increasing customer satisfaction and contributing to the profitability of the business.
- Support the Sales Department by meeting installers, attending breakfast mornings and trade presentations and providing technical expertise to enhance the overall performance within the region.
- Using a PDA, view, retrieve and update customer work records as appropriate to ensure that data sent back is accurate and correct.
- Supervise Service Agents. This will involve periodic visits, checking that they meet our procedures, answering their questions, ensuring that they have adequate stock levels and are sufficiently trained and recommending replacements where necessary.
- As part of a team, play a proactive role in achieving personal and group objectives. The jobholder will also need to effectively communicate ideas, views and initiatives with team members and management.
- Attend regular technical and procedural update sessions, adopting and applying new skills and working practices to enhance safety, customer satisfaction and efficiency, thereby improving business profitability.
Requirements of the Gas Engineer role:
- Must have at least 5 years experience in a similar role.
- Previous domestic/social housing experience.
- Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
- Great communication and organisational skills.
- Must be willing to take on other tasks when required.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
