Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm.

Bridge Recruitment is helping one of our established clients recruit an experienced Control Panel Builder to join their ever-expanding team.

Responsibilities of the Control Panel Builder:

  • The Control Panel Technician is responsible for the construction, testing and troubleshooting of control panels within our workshop.
  • This position requires a candidate with a strong work ethic, the ability to multi-task, and the desire to learn new skills.
  • The ideal candidate will have an electrical background and fair mechanical knowledge.
  • Install and test electrical components and wiring for bespoke applications.
  • Test the operation of equipment prior to dispatch.
  • Mark up construction drawings to as installed drawings for updating on AutoCad by the design team.
  • Demonstrate system functions to other members of the team.
  • Complete work in accordance with established quality standards and procedures.
  • Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Goods inward and stock control for workshop.

Requirements of the Control Panel Builder:

  • Previous experience within a similar role.
  • Strong verbal communication skills along with the ability to listen well and speak clearly are required.
  • A strong attention to detail is an absolute requirement with the ability to follow instructions and complete work in a timely manner while working under pressure of tight deadlines.
  • A working knowledge of electrical systems is also required with the ability to troubleshoot or repair such systems including motors, switches etc., along with the ability to read schematic diagrams and understand basic computer programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Willingness for occasional travel to existing plant rooms to modify in situ panels or carry out fault finding would be an advantage.
  • Able to work as part of a team and own initiative.
