Are you an experienced Estimator looking for an opportunity to join a growing construction business where you can make a real impact? We are currently recruiting for an Estimator to join an established and expanding construction business in Greater Manchester. This is a varied role offering the opportunity to take ownership of estimating while also getting involved in client relationships, business development and supporting the wider growth of the company.

The Role

  • Working closely with the Directors, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates and quotations, while also helping identify new opportunities and develop client relationships.
  • This is a great opportunity for someone who is ambitious, commercially minded and keen to progress, with the scope to develop the position as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and competitive estimates in line with client requirements
  • Produce professional and timely quotations
  • Read and interpret construction drawings
  • Monitor project costs throughout ongoing works
  • Manage incoming enquiries and identify potential opportunities
  • Support business development and develop new client relationships
  • Liaise with clients and internal teams throughout the estimating process
  • Support the company's marketing and brand development
  • Work closely with the Directors to support business growth
  • Take initiative and contribute ideas to develop the role

About You

  • Ideally, you'll have:
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings
  • Experience with CAD
  • Relevant degree-level education would be advantageous
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A hardworking, reliable and flexible approach
  • Strong initiative and a willingness to take ownership
  • A genuine interest in construction and business development
