Are you an experienced immigration caseworker or a qualified solicitor with specialist experience in private and corporate immigration law? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are a Mayfair-based immigration law practice looking to appoint a senior caseworker/solicitor who is personable, motivated and hardworking, with a positive, can-do attitude. We are small but stable, with over 20 years' experience in the sector. We are growing organically, and this is an excellent opportunity to join a fantastic team at an entrepreneurial firm. The potential for personal and professional growth is significant, with scope to join the management team in the longer term. This is a client-facing role, handling enquiries from new and existing clients. You must be able to work effectively and efficiently on your own initiative.

General requirements

  • Strong command of English; knowledge of an additional language is a bonus
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and perform well under pressure
  • Positive energy and creativity, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a small team
  • Self-motivated, with the initiative to generate new ideas and find solutions to business and operational challenges
  • Polished client service with cultural sensitivity
  • Professional and presentable at all times
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Key duties

  • Full casework duties, including drafting correspondence, liaising with clients directly, and preparing applications and bundles
  • Providing practical support and guidance to other team members across a range of corporate and private immigration queries and casework
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and training of new staff
  • Adapting to and resolving various challenges that arise from applications, such as refusals
  • Providing marketing and business development support to secure further immigration workload and meet company revenue targets
  • Building business relationships and representing the company at networking and industry events

Experience

  • Minimum of IAA Level 1 (formerly known as OISC) or a qualified solicitor; a higher level of accreditation is a bonus
  • Minimum of three years' casework experience in immigration law, across both private and corporate immigration (corporate experience preferred)
  • Solid experience with Sponsor Licences and Skilled Worker / Tier 2–5 routes
  • Experience with points-based applications
  • Previous experience or knowledge of international immigration would be beneficial
  • Strong networking skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in using CRM systems
