About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational Registered Home Manager to lead The Denby, our luxury residential care home in the heart of Denby Dale, Huddersfield.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded care leader who is passionate about delivering outstanding care while creating an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong operational leadership, ensuring the smooth and effective day-to-day management of the home.
  • Deliver outstanding, person-centred care while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance and governance.
  • Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing team, creating a positive and supportive culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all CQC regulations, Health & Safety legislation, COSHH, infection prevention and all relevant statutory requirements.
  • Maintain robust quality assurance systems, audits, risk assessments and governance processes.
  • Oversee recruitment, workforce planning, training, supervision and succession planning.
  • Develop excellent relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and local stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of the home's financial performance, budgets and operational efficiency.
  • Drive occupancy through effective local networking, community engagement, relationship building and marketing initiatives.
  • Promote the home professionally within the local community, developing partnerships with healthcare professionals and referral agencies.
  • Ensure all documentation, policies and statutory records remain accurate and inspection ready.
  • Oversee safe medication management and ensure residents' finances are managed with integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Registered Home Manager within a residential or nursing care setting.
  • Experience working within a luxury or premium care home environment, with an excellent understanding of high customer service standards.
  • A proven track record of achieving and maintaining high-quality regulatory standards.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience of increasing occupancy and developing local referral networks. lyli
  • Excellent marketing, networking and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to build trust with residents, families, professionals and the wider community.
  • Experience leading, developing and motivating successful teams.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and financial management skills.
  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or an equivalent management qualification).
  • A genuine passion for delivering exceptional person-centred care.
