Working closely with the Procurement & Logistics to ensure any daily issues are dealt with in the best way.

Coordinating supplier appraisal and service reviews meeting & ensuring corrective actions are taken.

Ensure all slow-moving materials are identified and corrective action/plan agreed.

Importing coordination.

Lead weekly Purchasing meeting.

Identifying projects, suppliers & products where the business can save money.

Ensure all non-conformances and supplier issues are dealt with in a timely manner.

Identifying and coordinating the introduction of new suppliers to the Business.

Ensure Suppliers performance matrixes are in place and coordinating review meetings.

Identifying new suppliers that can provide innovation and a competitive advantage for the business.

Lead Buyer for Bridge Cheese for the following categories:

  • Packaging
  • Non-dairy ingredients
  • Chemicals
  • External Warehousing storage & Logistics providers
  • Consumables
  • Energy Fuel, Electricity & Water

All tendering for services that the business requires with the relevant department head (e.g., Lab testing, weights and measures, laundry, cleaning, waste, annual services).

Engineering expenditure – working with engineering department to select approved suppliers that can be used as the business, will be responsible for monitoring expenditure and agreeing on cost reductions with the Engineering department.

Ad-hoc purchasing as the business requires.

Capex.
