The Opportunity
By integrating Bridewell's Managed Security Services with focused training in all areas of Security Operations, the Bridewell Academy equips candidates with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today's cyber security landscape. This holistic approach not only enhances academic offerings but also prepares candidates for successful careers in this critical field, ensuring they are well‑equipped to tackle evolving cyber threats.
In the first three months of the Bridewell Academy, you will undergo comprehensive onboarding, where you’ll meet your manager and assigned buddy, who will guide you through the initial stages of your journey. During this time, you’ll gain exposure to our Security and Compliance team, allowing you to familiarise yourself and gain a better understanding of Cyber Security. Following this, you'll enter a six‑month period primarily focused on shadowing and gaining exposure to clients. During this time, a dedicated line manager will support you, assisting with networking, relationship‑building, and increasing your visibility within the business. By the 6 to 18 month mark, your training will have taken root, allowing you to work full‑time on client‑based projects. You will have accumulated enough experience to confidently pursue relevant courses.
What you’ll be doing:
- Shadowing IT staff to gain an understanding of internal IT estate.
- Building and setting up new and replacement machines for staff.
- Organising IT assets and inventory.
- Responding to IT helpdesk incidents.
- Assisting with policy creation and updates.
Qualifications
- A degree in Cyber Security, equivalent qualification or completion of a Cyber Security‑focused training course or bootcamp.
- Minimum grade of 4/C in GCSE English Language and Maths (or equivalent).
- Three A-levels or five Highers (or equivalent).
- Must be available to commence work on 14th August.
No work experience is needed – this is an entry‑level position; we are looking for someone who will show potential for these roles through transferable skills. Confidence, relationship building, and a self‑starter mindset are all welcome, alongside a huge eagerness to learn!
To be eligible for this job you must either hold SC or be eligible and willing to go through security clearance.

Location
Bridewell operates a hybrid and flexible working policy, however you will be required to travel to different sites on occasion, in particular our London office.
