What will I be doing?
We're looking for a Finance Manager to lead and scale our finance function as Bridebook continues its international growth. This is a highly visible role working closely with the Wider Leadership Team to ensure the business has strong financial control, clear commercial insight, and the operational rigour needed to scale sustainably. You'll lead a small but high‑performing finance team, optimise our financial processes, and act as a trusted partner to teams across the company.
- Finance Operations & Process Optimisation
- Leading and continuously improving Bridebook's finance operations across multiple international entities.
- Overseeing billing, invoicing, reconciliations, and month‑end close to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Reviewing and signing off the month‑end accounts prepared by the Management Accountant.
- Driving automation, tooling improvements, and scalable financial processes.
- Maintaining consistent accounting policies and strong financial controls across all entities.
- Financial Planning, Analysis & Cash Management
- Owning Bridebook's rolling 13‑week cash flow forecast and liquidity planning.
- Leading the bottom‑up budgeting and forecasting process across the business.
- Providing financial modelling, scenario analysis, and performance insights to support decision making.
- Delivering clear reporting that tracks business performance against budget and forecasts.
- Strategic Business Partnering
- Acting as the finance voice within the Wider Leadership Team.
- Partnering with commercial leaders on pricing strategy, discount structures, and revenue performance.
- Providing data‑driven insight that influences operational and strategic decisions.
- Ensuring leadership teams have clear visibility on revenue, margins, cash position, and key business KPIs.
- Governance, Compliance & Audit
- Strengthening financial governance, compliance, and accounting controls.
- Leading the end‑to‑end audit process and managing the auditor relationship.
- Ensuring accurate revenue recognition and alignment between systems including HubSpot, Chargebee, and Xero.
- Managing inter‑company reconciliations and transfer pricing processes across entities.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Leading and developing direct reports consisting of a Management Accountant and Finance Assistant.
- Creating clear expectations, strong accountability, and growth opportunities for the finance team.
- Building a collaborative finance function that actively partners with teams across the business.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has significant experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role, ideally within a fast‑growing startup or scale‑up.
- Has strong experience in financial planning, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Has led month‑end close processes and maintained high standards of financial control and compliance.
- Is confident partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing business decisions with financial insight.
- Enjoys operating in a hands‑on environment and isn't afraid to dive into the detail when needed.
- Has experience improving financial processes, automation, and finance systems.
- Is highly analytical and commercially minded, able to translate financial data into clear recommendations.
- Thrives in a fast‑moving environment where priorities evolve and impact matters more than hierarchy.
- Is collaborative, proactive, and comfortable bringing a clear point of view to leadership discussions.
