At Bridebook, we\’re digitising the wedding industry! Join us in transforming the wedding planning experience for engaged couples around the world.
Who is Bridebook anyway?
Bridebook is a SaaS and Marketplace scale-up business revolutionising the wedding industry. We are proud to be the UK’s number one wedding planning app and the ONLY global provider! Our mission is to make the wedding planning journey as happy as possible for engaged couples everywhere!
With over 90% of the world’s 7.5bn population expected to get married in their lifetime, the wedding industry is massive. It is 50% larger than the global taxi and food delivery markets combined, yet it sadly lags in digitalisation and lacks solutions for the modern-day needs of both couples and businesses. So here\’s Bridebook, set to disrupt the wedding industry
Our team is made up of talented creative, analytical, and tech-focused minds! We have been featured 12 times on the App Store as well as been rated the number 1 app by Apple. Our investors are well known for supporting some previous successful unicorns such as Airbnb, Pinterest, Skyscanner and Tesla.
We’re looking for a Senior People Business Partner to help establish our business partnering function, developing a high performance culture and ensure operational continuity during our Head of People\’s maternity leave. This is a unique opportunity to lead on key elements of our people strategy from day one, starting with senior operational responsibilities and evolving into a dedicated business partnering role as our leadership team returns to full capacity. This role is ideal for an experienced people professional eager to make a meaningful impact in a growing, fast-paced organisation.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a trusted partner to your people leaders and managers by challenging their thinking and advising on the best people strategies to drive performance, collaboration, and growth within their teams.
- Translating the company strategy into actionable, pragmatic people plans that deliver measurable business impact.
- Using data and insights proactively to identify and address challenges before they arise, then implementing solutions and measuring their effectiveness.
- Leading workforce planning efforts, including organizational design when necessary.
- Delivering and embedding change initiatives throughout the entire employee lifecycle to support scalability and agility.
- Leading the delivery of key lifecycle programs alongside the People Operations team, including performance reviews and compensation cycles.
- Managing complex employee relations cases with discretion and expertise.
- Overseeing global people operations processes to ensure smooth delivery of lifecycle moments during the Head of People’s absence.
- Representing the People function in strategic discussions and leadership meetings.
- Championing diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the employee experience.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Experience as a Senior People Partner in high-growth, scaling environments
- A proven track record partnering closely with senior leaders during scale-up phases (experience with GTM or ProdTech is essential; experience in both is a plus)
- Success in embedding impactful, company-wide people initiatives
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law (EU experience is a plus)
- Hands-on experience with employee relations, performance management, and organizational change
- An empathetic communication style combined with the ability to challenge constructively
- A strategic mindset paired with strong execution skills
- The ability to influence, build trust, and use data effectively to drive decision-making
- Strong project management skills and proven coaching capability
- Confidence navigating ambiguity and solving complex people challenges
- Experience with platforms such as Notion, Humaans, and Leapsome is desirable but not essential, as is knowledge of multi-country employment law
Availability to start ASAP is a plus. If your notice period is longer than one month, being able to support a brief handover and onboarding would be greatly appreciated!
This role may not be the best fit if:
- This would be your first time as a People Partner
- You haven’t worked in a fast-growing, scaling business before
If that sounds like you, don’t worry! Follow Bridebook on LinkedIn to stay updated on future roles that might be a better match.
What if you’re a partial fit?
We love hearing from anyone who is enthusiastic about changing the wedding industry and welcome candidates with different backgrounds and experiences! We prioritise grit, positivity, and the willingness to get stuck in, and encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn’t exactly match this job description.
Benefits
- 25 days of annual leave, with an extra day every year after three years (up to 30 days)
- Hybrid Working, we’d love to see you in twice a week, but you are free to come in more often if you’d like
- £500 per year Learning and Development budget
- Enhanced Family-Friendly Policies
- Cycle to Work Scheme
- One month fully paid Sabbatical Leave after five years in BB
- 2 weeks Working From Home Near Home per year
- Wedding Leave (5 days paid)
- Half-Day Wedding Anniversary Leave
- Equity Share Options
- An accessible, beautiful and dog-friendly office, with weekly breakfasts, communal lunches, alongside free snacks and more
- Yearly BB Summit and quarterly events to celebrate milestones!
London, Hammersmith (working hybrid, minimum 2 days a week)
One Team: Together we are better.
Keep Accelerating: We work smart.
Create Joy: We celebrate going above and beyond.
Equal employment opportunity
Research shows that women, neurodiverse individuals, and members of other under-represented groups tend to not apply to jobs when they think they may not meet every qualification, when, in fact, they often do! At Bridebook we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and strongly encourage you to apply.
So what’s next?
You’ll hear from our team within 2 weeks regarding your application. We believe in efficient and meaningful conversations, so you’ll be happy to hear there isn’t a whopping 7 stage process!
