Bridebook is a SaaS and Marketplace scale‑up business revolutionising the wedding industry. We are proud to be the UK’s number one wedding planning app and the only global provider. Our mission is to make the wedding planning journey as happy as possible for engaged couples everywhere.

With over 90% of the world’s 7.5bn population expected to get married in their lifetime, the wedding industry is massive. It is 50% larger than the global taxi and food delivery markets combined, yet it lags in digitalisation and lacks solutions for the modern‑day needs of both couples and businesses.

I’ll support the smooth running of Bridebook’s day‑to‑day finance operations, ensuring financial data is accurate, organised and processed efficiently. Working closely with the Management Accountant and wider Finance team, I will support Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, expenses and finance administration, and proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and streamline workflows.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Manage and process Pleo transactions and balances, ensuring receipts are matched, spend is accurately coded, and any issues are resolved promptly.
  • Process supplier invoices and staff expenses in line with internal policies and approval processes.
  • Prepare weekly payment‑run listings, ensuring invoices are validated, coded correctly and ready for review.
  • Support remittance processing, reconciliations and discrepancy resolution in collaboration with wider teams.
  • Maintain accurate supplier, remittance and finance records, ensuring documentation is audit‑ready.
  • Assist with accounts receivable activities, including invoice preparation, maintaining customer account data and allocating incoming receipts.
  • Monitor overdue balances and proactively flag issues to the Management Accountant and Commercial teams.
  • Support month‑end close activities, including bank reconciliations, remittance reconciliations and Pleo reconciliations.
  • Assist with journals and accruals under the guidance of the Management Accountant.
  • Manage the finance inbox, responding to supplier and internal queries promptly and professionally.
  • Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, automation and operational efficiency as Bridebook continues to scale.
We’re looking for someone who
  • Has previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or similar finance operations role.
  • Is highly detail‑oriented and enjoys working with accurate, well‑organised financial data.
  • Has experience processing invoices, expenses, reconciliations or accounts payable/receivable activities.
  • Is confident communicating with internal stakeholders, suppliers and cross‑functional teams.
  • Is proactive and enjoys identifying and resolving discrepancies before they become bigger issues.
  • Is organised, dependable and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Is curious, eager to learn and excited to grow within a scaling Finance team.
  • Has experience using finance systems such as Xero, Pleo, HubSpot or Chargebee (or similar platforms).
  • Immediate availability is a bonus.
What if you’re a partial fit?

We love hearing from anyone who is enthusiastic about changing the wedding industry and welcome candidates with different backgrounds and experiences. We prioritise grit, positivity and the willingness to get stuck in, and encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn’t exactly match this job description.

Benefits
  • 25 days of annual leave, with an extra day each year after three years (up to 30 days).
  • Hybrid working, with a preference for two days a week in office but flexible to come in more often.
  • £500 per year learning and development budget.
  • Enhanced family‑friendly policies.
  • Cycle to Work scheme.
  • One month fully paid sabbatical leave after five years with Bridebook.
  • Two weeks working from anywhere per year.
  • Wedding leave (five days paid).
  • Half‑day wedding anniversary leave.
  • Financial wellbeing sessions.
  • An accessible, beautiful and dog‑friendly office with weekly breakfasts, communal lunches and free snacks.
  • Yearly Bridebook summit and quarterly events to celebrate milestones.
Location

London, Hammersmith (working hybrid, minimum 2 days a week).

Our Values
  • One Team: together we are better.
  • Keep Accelerating: we work smart.
  • Create Joy: we celebrate going above and beyond.
Equal Employment Opportunity

Research shows that women, neurodiverse individuals and members of other under‑represented groups tend to not apply to jobs when they think they may not meet every qualification, when in fact they often do. At Bridebook we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and strongly encourage you to apply.

You’ll hear from our team within two weeks regarding your application. We believe in efficient and meaningful conversations, so you’ll be happy to know there isn’t a lengthy multi‑stage process.
