What will I be doing? I’ll support the smooth running of Bridebook’s day‑to‑day finance operations, ensuring financial data is accurate, organised and processed efficiently. Working closely with the Management Accountant and wider Finance team, I will support Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, expenses and finance administration, and proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and streamline workflows.
Specific Responsibilities- Manage and process Pleo transactions and balances, ensuring receipts are matched, spend is accurately coded, and any issues are resolved promptly.
- Process supplier invoices and staff expenses in line with internal policies and approval processes.
- Prepare weekly payment‑run listings, ensuring invoices are validated, coded correctly and ready for review.
- Support remittance processing, reconciliations and discrepancy resolution in collaboration with wider teams.
- Maintain accurate supplier, remittance and finance records, ensuring documentation is audit‑ready.
- Assist with accounts receivable activities, including invoice preparation, maintaining customer account data and allocating incoming receipts.
- Monitor overdue balances and proactively flag issues to the Management Accountant and Commercial teams.
- Support month‑end close activities, including bank reconciliations, remittance reconciliations and Pleo reconciliations.
- Assist with journals and accruals under the guidance of the Management Accountant.
- Manage the finance inbox, responding to supplier and internal queries promptly and professionally.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, automation and operational efficiency as Bridebook continues to scale.
- Has previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or similar finance operations role.
- Is highly detail‑oriented and enjoys working with accurate, well‑organised financial data.
- Has experience processing invoices, expenses, reconciliations or accounts payable/receivable activities.
- Is confident communicating with internal stakeholders, suppliers and cross‑functional teams.
- Is proactive and enjoys identifying and resolving discrepancies before they become bigger issues.
- Is organised, dependable and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Is curious, eager to learn and excited to grow within a scaling Finance team.
- Has experience using finance systems such as Xero, Pleo, HubSpot or Chargebee (or similar platforms).
- Immediate availability is a bonus.
- 25 days of annual leave, with an extra day each year after three years (up to 30 days).
- Hybrid working, with a preference for two days a week in office but flexible to come in more often.
