About the Role
We are hiring an ESS Technical Solutions Manager to support our sales team in the UK. You will work with sales reps and R&D to turn customer needs into complete energy storage solutions for utility-scale and C&I projects. The role combines technical pre-sales, solution design and commercial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- 1. Accompany sales reps on client visits, analyse customer needs, provide advisory input, and draft project proposals.
- 2. Work closely with R&D and sales teams on market research and competitor analysis of the UK storage market.
- 3. Develop a thorough understanding of energy storage product performance, features and applications, and create end-to-end solutions based on customer and sales requirements.
- 4. Manage project quotations and profitability analysis.
- 5. Conduct on-site surveys for prospective projects across the UK.
- 6. Identify pain points in key industries, design integrated solutions tailored to them, and engage customers directly to shape demand.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Battery, Electrochemistry, Power Electronics, Power Systems, or a related field.
- Solid knowledge of energy storage battery systems, electrical systems and BMS.
- 3+ years of pre-sales technical support or solutions experience in energy storage systems (utility-scale / C&I storage).
- Fluent English as a working language. Shortlisted candidates will be assessed through testing.
- Based in the UK, with the right to work in the UK.
Preferred Background
- Experience at an ESS or BESS company.
- Relevant industry resources and experience in utility-scale and C&I storage.
