The Real Estate Analyst sits in the Analytics team, and works closely with Capital Markets, Acquisitions, Finance and Portfolio Management teams. You will own our suite of financial models for acquisitions and portfolio management, maintain the underwriting and performance data they run on, and produce ongoing reporting for our clients and leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Modelling
    • Build and maintain the acquisition and asset management models.
    • Build models to support development of new investment strategies and fundraising.
    • Maintain the database of underwriting data, actuals and financial metrics that our models and reporting run on.
    • Improve how we model: deeper analysis, faster generation from standard data imports, sharper assumptions by tracking underwrites against actuals.
  • Reporting
    • Produce client reporting across our weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual cycles, drawing financial and operational metrics from our models and dashboards into consistent, high-quality materials.
    • Produce internal reporting for leadership and operations teams.
    • Make reporting faster and more repeatable to generate, and raise the quality and readability of the materials.
  • Analysis
    • Run ad hoc analysis to support investment targeting and assess portfolio performance.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential

  • 1 - 3 years in an analyst or modelling role; or strong graduates with relevant placement experience.
  • Advanced Excel and strong financial modelling skills.
  • Previous experience in real estate finance and/or modelling.
  • The ability to structure and solve complex analytical problems.
  • Clear communication, strong numeracy and accurate writing skills.
  • Organisational skills to manage and prioritise competing demands from multiple stakeholders.
  • Fluency with AI tools.

Helpful, but not required

  • Exposure to operational real estate investment in the UK - particularly Build to Rent Multifamily / Single Family Residential.
