We are currently seeking a Solution Architect for one of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the production of the target reference architecture, including the Cloud Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Data Lake Enterprise Semantic Layer, and Data Exploration Area.
- Produce technology recommendations (D04) evaluating platform options (Databricks, Snowflake, AWS-native services) against SLC’s Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs).
- Ensure cross-stream architectural consistency: that Lakehouse design, integration patterns, migration approach, and governance framework form a coherent whole.
- Chair architecture review sessions and provide design authority sign-off on detailed design deliverables from S3, S4, S5, and S6.
- Define the four-environment model (Dev / Test / Pre-Prod / Prod) and CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment) strategy.
- Provide architectural guidance to the Technical Architect and Lead Data Architect on detailed design decisions.
Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum 8 years in data architecture or solution architecture, with at least 3 years as lead architect on enterprise data platform programmes.
- Deep knowledge of cloud data platforms: Databricks (Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, SQL Warehouses), AWS data services (S3, Glue, Redshift, Kinesis, MWAA), or Snowflake.
- Experience designing Lakehouse architectures combining structured EDW workloads with unstructured data lake capabilities.
- Familiarity with data governance tooling, particularly Collibra or equivalent metadata management platforms.
- Experience with Netezza or legacy EDW migration to cloud-native platforms.
- Ability to produce clear, professional architecture documentation for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have:
- Experience within the loans or regulated public sector domain.
- Familiarity with Salesforce data models and integration patterns (relevant to the DSFS platform).
- TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) or equivalent enterprise architecture certification.
