We are currently seeking a Data Engineer for one of our clients.
- Work location: London
- Work setting: hybrid
Responsibilities
- Build EDW tables, views, and stored procedures according to physical data model specifications.
- Develop Semantic Layer views, pre-computed aggregations, and Tableau-compatible data structures.
- Write and execute unit tests and integration tests for all Lakehouse components.
- Optimize table partitioning, clustering, and caching configurations for query performance against NFR targets.
- Support knowledge transfer activities: participate in pair-programming sessions with SLC data engineers.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years in data engineering, with hands-on experience building data pipelines and data warehouse structures.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Apache Spark / PySpark.
- Experience with Databricks (Delta Lake, notebooks, SQL Warehouses) or equivalent cloud data platform.
- Familiarity with medallion architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold) and data lake design patterns.
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows.
